Bareskrim Polri continues to develop the case of fraudulent investment scheme involving the NET89 trading robot. A total of Rp 1.5 trillion in assets have been seized from approximately 6,000 victims. The main suspect in this case is the founder of PT SMI, Andreas Andreyanto.

The case initially came to light in 2023 when seven assets owned by SMI were seized. Despite a successful pretrial lawsuit by the suspects at the Tangerang District Court, the police re-investigated and seized assets linked to Andreas Andreyanto and nine other suspects.
